Our design approach is towards fast loading easy-to-use pages, which can be found easily through the Internet search engines.

Your design fees can be as low as 60 pounds plus VAT.

N.B.The site design service includes free maintenance (excluding site visit charges and major modifications) for the first year.

Change is inevitable, and sometimes desirable - anything from a simple change of prices to a complete overhaul.

Whether or not we designed the original site we can make changes for you on a one-off basis or under an economical maintenance contract. If you prefer to do-it-yourself, we can help you to learn how to make some types of changes yourselves.

You don't need a computer and Internet access to have an effective website! Using a hosting service is a way of testing the water before considering the bigger investment of hardware.

Whether or not you already have Internet facilities or a computer, we can provide a home for your website. If at a later date you obtain your own connection you can choose to move the site.

If you have your own Internet connection it may seem like the obvious thing to host the website yourself, but there are still advantages in using our hosting services, especially when combined with our email forwarding service:

• Short, memorable name, e.g. www.isleofskye.net/yourchoice/
• Freedom to change your Internet connection (demon, freeserve, etc.) without having to move your website - makes sure you don't miss return visitors.
• Cheaper website maintenance - all work is done for you from our premises.

A www.isleofskye.net/yourchoice/ style website can be yours for from 45 pounds plus VAT per annum, plus design & setup fees.

Optional extras with hosting deals can include your own domain (e.g. www.yourname.co.uk), autoresponders (a way of automatically sending out standard enquiry response information), announcement lists, activity logging and custom programming.

We can offer isleofskye.net email addresses.

If you already have an Internet connection and email address, email can be forwarded to you automatically & discreetly.

If you don't already have a computer or Internet facilities, we can handle email on your behalf, passing messages on by fax or phone for a small per item charge.

If you have your own Internet connection it may seem odd to have another email address, but there are advantages:

• Short, distinctive address, e.g. yourchoice@isleofskye.net
• Freedom to change your Internet connection (demon, freeserve, etc.) without having to change your email address - an important consideration once you have established a wide range of contacts.

As an option, we can also provide email handling or forwarding with your own Internet domain (e.g. yourchoice@yourname.co.uk).

Subject to availability we can arrange for registration and operation of your own Internet domain, e.g. yourname.co.uk, yourname.com, yourname.org.uk,...

Domains are much cheaper than that were just a few years ago - ask and you might be pleasantly surprised!

Having got your site, you want others to find it!

We maintain and promote pages on www.ealaghol.co.uk, www.isleofskye.com and www.isleofskye.net designed to showcase Skye and to provide helpful information to visitors. These pages include links for Accommodation, Places to Eat, Arts and Crafts, Galleries & Shops, Services and so on. The promotion pages are designed differently on each of our sites to appeal to different people and different search engines.

Our pages already have an established Internet presence and we ensure that they rank well on the major search engines. Having a link from our websites gives your website a head start.

Web design clients get a free entry on the promotion pages for a year, other sites are included for an annual fee of 25 pounds plus VAT (one fee covers all our sites), plus a one-off setup fee. If we don't yet have promotion pages that match your business, we are happy to consider new areas.
